The consultation workshop for validating CLEAR findings and formulation of the Agriculture Resilience Plan (ARP) for the four target Dzongkhags, which began on 24th October from Zhemgang Dzongkhag, concluded today in Sarpang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team, consisting of the WFP Technical Assistance (TA), Project Management Unit (PMU) and the CLEAR Consultant, conducted a three-day consultation in each target Dzongkhag. The workshop was aimed at validating the CLEAR findings; carry out <\/a>prioritization of commodities, identify key challenges, along with strategic interventions and critical infrastructure needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The outcome of this exercise is expected to help project come up with first version of ARP within this month, providing no-regret options for the preparation of annual work plan and budget for 2025-26. Nevertheless, the project through the TA support will address known limitations of the first version and develop a comprehensive ARP in 2025-26 to ensure effective implementation of project activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Local Government officials, including key sector officials, Gewog Agriculture\/Livestock Extension Officers and representatives from farmer groups of 4 target Dzongkhags participated in the workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
